On the first Monday of each month we contribute 10% of our cafe sales to a local organization aligned with our values and mission (more details here on our giving prigram). But this month, we’re giving Make a Difference Monday a bit of a twist! We’re partnering with Anaweza Foundation for a special Make a Difference Week online.
Beginning today, May 1 through Sunday, May 7, Backyard Beans will donate 10% of online sales from our website to Anaweza Foundation, a non-profit serving children in Kenya.
Anaweza Foundation is a non-profit with a mission to create a brighter future for the orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya. Proceeds from Make a Difference Week will go towards their summer camp happening this August, which allows the children they serve to explore Kenya and participate in activities, group bonding exercises, and field trips to various sites and museums.
